Report
World Business Report was a business news programme produced by the BBC and broadcast from the early 1990s until May 7, 2024. As one of BBC News’ longest running outlets, it evolved through a plethora of different title sequences across the years – and I have set out on a goal to accurately recreate as many of them as I possibly can.

Upscaling
My recreation of the programme’s 2000 titles was completed frame-by-frame in After Effects, using original reference material in a mixture of 4:3, 14:9 and 16:9 aspect ratios. This variation, caused by the transition to widescreen, meant recreating the sequence in detail became rather difficult. Nonetheless, I sought to include all of its quirks, including how the original text and shapes were one frame out of sync with the background footage.

One of my older recreations from 2024, this project was also completed in After Effects, in a similar predicament of original reference material in a mixture of aspect ratios – as is common with legacy media. I was pleased that the final titles were a very close match (bar the footage)!
