Spearhead
I was thrilled to work with nordsnds on the cover art for his debut single, Spearhead. Following the client’s brief, I produced a composition set in the Fulda Gap in the 1980s. Spearhead, as well as his other songs, can be found on Spotify.

I produced this composition in Photoshop during 2026.
The title of the single was integrated vertically, in order to provide more empty horizontal space for the tank.
The final design’s bleakness and gritty nature aided in presenting the on-looker as detached from the reality of the war zone itself.

I originally experimented with different tanks, perspectives and a variety of effects – including one concept using the namesake ‘spearhead formation’. Ultimately, a simpler design was used.
